fiction writing & other written stuff
Ever since I was ten years old I have written. All sorts of stuff: long stories, short stories, poems, letters, secret instructions for saving the universe and finally a screenplay and the beginnings of several novels. But exciting work as a means of sustenance kept me distracted until I quit my job as associate creative director at Ogilvy & Mather Advertising Netherlands in July 2002 to add fiction writing to my growing list of crafts. Since then, I have written numerous short stories and have gone shockingly far beyond the beginning of a novel I expect to finish this year. So far a dark science fiction short called "Sleep Softly" featured in Black Petals. "Rape of a Mind" and "The Gap" will appear this year and a children's short story called "The Sea Shell That Ran" was sold to Ladybug Magazine. Moreover, a series of short shorts and poems appeared in "Tast," a special booklet designed by Mattmo. I also continue to work on a sci-fi screenplay that will hopefully see the silver screen in the not so distant future.
